In addition to my artistic and musical pursuits, I am the Executive Director of the Parapsychological Association (PA), an international professional organization of scientists and scholars engaged in the study of psi (or ‘psychic’) experiences, such as telepathy, clairvoyance, psychokinesis, psychic healing, and precognition. First established in 1957, the PA has been an affiliated organization of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) since 1969. Every day I get to work with some of the greatest minds in the world, who dare to investigate a variety of authentic human experiences that test the boundaries of mainstream science. I am proud to be serving them.
In my free time, I also assist the Center for Research on Consciousness and Anomalous Psychology at Lund University, and maintain website called Public Parapsychology a blog devoted to communicating with the general public about advances in the field. I do occasionally find the time to contribute original research, and it is primarily in the area paranormal belief, poltergeist and haunting phenomena. I’ve also co-authored some useful primers for those with an interest in such research (links below).
